leaving liberty😭😭

Hey guys!!

We got transfer news on Saturday and I'm leaving Liberty and I'm so sad😭 Sister Jackson and I were so ready to do a third transfer together but it's just not the case. The past two transfers have been so much fun with Sister Jackson and I'm gonna miss her so much!! I'm gonna miss the zone leaders too- our "look" squad is splitting up but it's ok because we have a road trip planned for after the mish so we'll see them in March 2025 lol.

The Deng family came to church again and it was so good!! Our past few lessons have been so spiritual and I feel like they're actually understanding more! We also found some cool people this week and had some awesome lessons. The last part of the week was so rainy and kinda sad but it's OK because Sister Jackson LOVES the rain so that made it fun. I told her she needs to move to England cause it rains a ton and is overcast 24/7

I'm excited to meet my new comp on Thursday and see where I'm going!! I'm gonna miss Liberty and having ice cream at President's!!

Love and miss you all!!

Storms and Miracles🌧🔥

We had two exchanges this week so that was really fun! It made the week fly by so quickly and I missed Sister Jackson even though we were only apart for 48 hours in total lol. God truly has placed some amazing people in our path lately and it's amazing to see how He magnifies our efforts! We had this awesome referral named Ryan, who requested a missionary visit. He's 19 years old and recently lost his mom so he wants to grow closer to God. We also had a lesson with our friend Brian who recently lost his wife (who was an inactive member) and now we're teaching him about the gospel! The spirit was so strong during the lesson. He got emotional asking if he'll still be married to his wife after death so we got to explain temple sealings and how families can be forever. 🥹 we taught with two young women and their mom and they're testimonies were so tender and so impactful!

We had exchanges with the YSA sisters and Sister Pannell came here to Kellybrook! It was so much fun- love her!! We also had exchanges with the Kearney sisters so I went to Kearney with Sister Stewart! She's so funny and we just laughed the whole time. We found some cool people on the exchange. Also we were under tornado watch and the storm was so bad. We had to pull over and spend the night at some other missionaries' apartment because I could not see anything while driving😅 Sister Jackson also got hit by the hail and her knuckle started bleeding so yeah...

The Deng family came to church again and brought their other brother, Atem, so we had 4 people at church!! It's been so fun involving the youth with missionary work and having them share their testimonies! We also found this guy Freeman and crazy miracle how we found him. In the morning we prayed and planned to tract (knock on some doors) on a specific street. Later that day we were driving to a visit and we passed this guy who was outside playing with his kids. I felt prompted to turn around and talk to him so we did and turns out he's been looking for a church!! And guess what... he literally lives on the street we had planned to go tract! It's crazy to see how the Spirit guides us to find those who are ready to hear the gospel!

Sorry this email is so long but so much happened and I just wanted to share with everyone!! God is a God of miracles!!

Love and miss you all!

GURT

Hey guys!!

This week was actually SO GOOD and missionary life is the best! We named our van "gurt" in honor of mine and sister Jackson's dad's names. Kurt + Gary= gurt 😎 so we've been loving gurt and all the missionaries want to ride in gurt because it's the party van 🥳 Also it was my birthday on Tuesday so that was fun!! I'm no longer a teenager and I feel so old when I say I'm 20 years old now- kinda weird. We had dinner at our bishops house on Sunday and they made me a cake!! I blew out the candles and then I dropped the cake when trying to move it so that was a hot mess pahha.

We had so many good lessons this week, especially with the Deng family. So I told y'all about our friend Angui and his kids Deng and Christina- well we've been teaching them for a couple weeks now and they're LOVING the Book of Mormon. We invited them to pray about baptism and Angui said he believes the Book of Mormon is the word of God😇

On Saturday, we invited the Deng fam to a baptism last minute and Angui and Christina came and they loved it!! Angui literally stood up to see the girl get baptized and he thought it was so cool how we do baptism by immersion. He said he's interested in getting baptized but he wants to learn more about our church- which fair enough because he honestly hasn't been taught a lot but he's so elect!! They all came to church on Sunday and everyone was nice!! We went to young women's with Christina and it was so much fun. She's really shy but she was smiling at the end so that made us happy. Deng literally already has plans to go to a basketball game with one of our members so #bestiesalready 🙌

Being a missionary is definitely hard but it's moments like these that make it so worth it!! I can't explain how much joy I had on Sunday when Angui and his kids came to church. The spirit was so strong and it makes me so happy to see how the Book of Mormon has answered their questions. It's so amazing how Jesus Christ is always the answer. He provides so much hope and comfort. Even when he doesn't calm the storms, he'll calm us during the storms. I love serving Him and seeing His light impact other's lives💗

Love and miss you all!!

Zone Moms😎

This week was actually a Rollercoaster of emotions and it was kinda chaotic. We had MLC on Tuesday then zone conference on Wednesday so we had 5-6 hour meetings back to back. It was actually a lot of fun and I got to see some of my mission besties!! Sister Jackson and I had to give a training though so that was scary but we took it like champs😤

We also got a van!!! There's only two minivans in the mission, one for the APs and the other one used to be for the STLTs (girl APs) but we don't have stlts anymore and we're the closest STLs so we got the van yayyy. Y'all have no idea how excited we were and the zone leaders said we're the "zone moms" now🤠

We had some really good lessons this week but we also had some really hard moments. A few of our friends dropped us and we met some not so nice people. Low-key Sister Jackson and I were having a really hard time Saturday because we've been working so hard to find the elect and find someone who is ready but we haven't found a ton of people who are ready for baptism. Every time we think we find someone who's ready they end up not progressing which is sad. But it's OK because we keep going because if we stopped obviously nothing would happen so we need to keep trying lol. It's all good though because missions are supposed to be hard and it just helps me feel a lot closer to my Savior💗

Love and miss you all!!
