Strike a Pose

Hey guys!!

This week was a big blur, so I literally can't remember what happened haha. We did an exchange with the Kearney Sisters so I went with Sister Holland and it was so much fun!! I love her!! Normally I feel like exchanges are just kinda fun but we were able to talk with the Sisters and give them some advice on how to help the companionship. A few days later at interviews President told us they were doing 1000% better which made Sister Jackson and I so happy!! We love the Sisters in our zone and they're literally all such incredible missionaries!

In our mission we have something called "daily facebook standards", which means we message 20 new people, cold call 3, friend 20, and post a story every day. In our zone leadership council we decided to keep each other accountable for our daily standards by sending photos in our chat. First person to finish gets to pick the pose/picture and everyone has to copy lol. It was really funny and the Elders really got into it- I'll put some below.

We had more lessons with our friend Jennifer who is so awesome- love her!! Rino the chiwahaha is still crazy but Aiden the pit bull is just the cutest dog ever. Jennifer started giving us bags of different flavored m&ms which is so sweet!! She has a testimony in the Book of Mormon but she's still not sure about baptism. She said she doesn't want to wear the "prison jumpsuit" and get her hair wet lol. I think there's a different reason why but we're just gonna keep helping her deepen her testimony and fellowship her.

We also got to help at this service project on Saturday called Days for Girls. We help every week but this was a bigger service activity and it was so much fun!! They make menstrual packets for girls across the world and here in the states too! Y'all should look it up because its so cool! Service is the best🙌

Love and miss you all!!

9 MONTHS ON THE MISH!!

Hey guys!!

I hit 9 months on thursday which is actually insane. I can't believe I'm half way through my mission and it's actually so sad. The past 9 months have been so much fun and I'm excited for the next 9 months too! We had transfers this week- Sister Jackson and I knew we were staying together and we were so excited for another transfer together with the zone leaders. We have some new missionaries in the zone which is super exciting. On Friday, Sister Jackson and I got to help pick up some of the new missionaries from the airport. We got to drive the APs minivan and it was so much fun. I love the van💗 it also has unlimited miles😍 The sisters we picked up came from the Mexico MTC because they're Spanish speaking missionaries and they were the cutest ever!!

I think I mentioned Jennifer in my last email but basically we met her last week and she came to a baptism last Saturday and came to church yesterday! We've been teaching her every day this week and she's loving the gospel!! She's the sweetest and she always puts out three cups of water because she knows we'll bring a member to the lesson lol. Her dogs are kinda crazy though, especially Rino the chiwahaha🐶

On Wednesday we helped the YSA sisters move into another apartment and they let us have the nerf guns, so that's gonna be fun surprising the zone leaders 🔫🔫 ALSO we got to have dinner with Sister Jackson's mom!!! (Don't worry president approved it lol) I mentioned before how Sister Jackson's sister literally lives in our area- well she was going through a hard time so her mom was coming out to visit her sister. We were literally gonna be 5 minutes from her so she took us out to dinner and it was so fun.

Love and miss you all💗

SUPERBOWL🏈🤠🥳

Hey guys!!

My pday was today because we got to go to the temple😁 I love the temple and so excited I got to go today!! ALSO...the Chiefs won the Superbowl!!! We got to watch part of it at a members house on Sunday and it was so much fun. Sister Jackson and I were so excited for the half time show too. We watched it with the Russells and Nielsons!! I'll put a photo below. People went crazy with fire works after they won and it was cool. This week flew by so quickly and it was so much fun.

We found out transfer news and I'm staying in Kellybrook with Sister Jackson!! I'm actually so excited and it's gonna be so much fun. I love Sister Jackson and we've had so much fun so I'm excited for round 2. The zone leaders are staying too so that's gonna be so fire🔥

We went to the zoo last p-day and it was so cool. The Kansas City Zoo is huge and I haven't been to a zoo in so long so that was fun. We got some funny photos too. I won't be able to add them all so look at my Google photos album lol.

We found lots of cool people to teach this week, which includes our friend Jennifer!! We talked to her when she was walking her dog and taught her about the Book of Mormon and she was down to read it! A few days later she came to watch a baptism with us so that was a cool experience.

Love and miss you all💗💗

LOOK👀

Remember how I mentioned, we and the zone leaders are making a rap/music video....well our band name is Look (Kellybrook+ Liberty) and we took a really cool photo at MLC this week so we have a album cover photo now haha. This transfer has actually been so much fun!!  Sister Jackson and I joke a lot with the zone leaders and we make fun of each other but deep down I know they love us😁😁 The zone leadership has been so fire and we're besties with the Elders now.

We had MLC (mission leadership council) on Tuesday so that was so much fun seeing some of my favorite missionaries again!! Wednesday was full of lessons and finding- it was so much fun. Thursday we got to do service with the elders which is always fun. On Friday we had exchanges with the YSA sisters and Sister Hacking came here to Kellybrook!! It was so fun and I love them. We had an area blitz with the New Mark Sisters on Saturday and that was so good too.

On Sunday we had two friends come to church so that was so exciting!! We also got to go to President's house in the evening because the youth from the Olathe stake came to the mission home for their mission prep class! Sister Jackson and I both started our missions there so it was like a full circle moment. We and the APs got to share some cool mission miracles and why we decided to serve missions/why we're staying out. This week was so much fun and I love serving the Lord!! I can't imagine doing anything else right now💗💗

Love and miss you all!!

Go Chiefs!

This week was crazy and I literally can't wrap my head around everything that happened so bear with me as I try to explain some memorable moments haha. We had lots of member blitzes, which is basically when we do visits/lessons with members and they're so much fun. Also the Chiefs are going to the Superbowl so yayyy. If they win the Superbowl again, we'll probably have to stay off the roads because everyone goes crazy.

On Tuesday we had exchanges with the Kearney sisters so Sister Parker came here to Kellybrook. So many miracles happened on this exchange. We found lots of cool people to start teaching- one of them being Dalayna. Her neighbor is a member and gave her and her mom a Book of Mormon a while ago. She met with missionaries for a bit but stopped after a while. Well now she wants to come to church and keep learning more!! We cleared some things up that she was confused about. The next day her neighbor called us and said we could come over and have a lesson with Dalayna and her mom Shannon. Shannon and Dalayna have dealt with a lot of hard trials but it was such a sweet visit and we testified so strongly about the power of the Book of Mormon. We sorted rides and everything for them to come to church on Sunday, but then Saturday morning our member messaged and told us Shannon fell, hit her head, got a concussion, and was in the hospital so yeah.... super sad but Shannon said she's doing better now.

Also Sister Jackson's sister came to church again!! Her sister hasn't come to church in years and this was her second time with us! Literally the class was SO GOOD. The spirit was so strong and it was literally God speaking straight to her sister I swear. She had some rough things happen this week so I'm so glad she could come to church and feel God's love for her.

This week I've truly seen the Lord's hand in the work. Even though so many things fell through and some people didn't come to church, I can look back and see how God truly placed certain people in our path to teach. The timing of when we met some of these people is no coincidence. God is a God of miracles!!

Love and miss you all!!
